Christmas Star & Crib
Most Christian households plan their cribs and recreate the Christmas scenario, building castles of the three kings, the hut of baby Jesus, shepherds watching their flock, etc. Some even make symbolic cribs, passing on a message for Christmas. Some also plan large cribs at road sides. People drop by in large numbers to appreciate them.
The Christmas star too are of great importance. Christian households in Goa hang one or many stars in their verandas. Some just buy a star, whereas others still take the time and trouble to make a traditional star with bamboo frames and colored paper often endeavoring to make the brightest star using their creativity. Crib and star competitions are held a lot during the season.
